AHA Updates

• Unannounced class inspections are now being conducted by AHA-trained monitors posing as regular students.
   
• Reports are submitted directly to AHA. Major non-compliance results in an instructor investigation and potential disciplinary action.
   
• To date:
   
  • 10 monitors deployed nationwide
     
  • 16 inspections completed
     
  • 17 more inspections scheduled
     
  • 11 Training Centers placed on probation
     
  • AHA now maintains a list of banned instructors and training sites
     

If you are following AHA guidelines — you’re good! Here's a quick compliance checklist:

• ✔️ Instructor and student manuals available and in use during class
   
• ✔️ All AHA videos played in full — no skipping required segments
   
• ✔️ Practice-While-Watching (PWW) method must be followed
   
• ✔️ Skills testing using AHA checklists — during or after the course
   
• ✔️ Feedback-equipped manikins used for practice and testing
   
• ✔️ All equipment cleaned and decontaminated per AHA standards
   

Take action now:

• Log in to Atlas and verify your class postings are compliant
   
• Remove or correct any improperly listed courses
   
• PumpLife CPR Plus will delete non-compliant listings if necessary

• Remind about Current Certifications:
  All instructors must keep provider cards (BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc.) current — it's an AHA requirement.
   
• eCard Ordering Procedures:
  The current procedure to order eCards (Zelle/Venmo info, timeline for requests, any card fee updates). Until we update this site for ecard orders LAUNCH DATE 05/05/2025
   
• Roster and Documentation Reminders:
  We must complete accurate rosters, course evaluations, and equipment checklists being turned in on time. Please upload to Enrollware no later than 2 days after your class was taught.
   
• Monitoring or Renewal Requirements:
  Check your provider and instructor cards and renew on time
   

• Updated PAM (Program Administration Manual):
  Always utilize your PAM for the most updated information
   
• In-Person Skills Requirement Reminder:
  Skills testing must always be in-person — no Zoom skills check-offs allowed.
   
• Standardization of Classes:
  use current AHA videos for consistency and compliance.
